Did you know that Yoga can be practiced without performing physical postures? Were you aware that meditation can be done lying down? Yoga Nidra is the way!
It is a guided meditation of specialized relaxation exercises, breathing techniques and guided imagery. All that is required is a willingness to open your mind and let go. It is a powerful form of Yoga that has been practiced for thousands of years.
Yoga Nidra means “ Yogic sleep” or “conscious sleep” that allows your body and mind to go into a deep state of relaxation. This practice also offers numerous benefits for both mind and body, including stress reduction, improved sleep and increased mindfulness. Come to this practice wearing comfortable loose clothing, a yoga mat, pillow and a blanket. Look forward to leaving with a sense of feeling grounded and relaxed.
Session will be 45 minutes long. 9:15am start time.
Date: January 26, March 2, 9
Fee: $30 each
Location: Aspen Suite 9:15am (45 minutes)

“Yoga” denotes a state of union, which we can explore in terms of joining or uniting our breath with our movements, our mind with our physical body, or even our intentions with any number of outcomes. The practise invites us to connect with ourselves, with those whose experiences can help us on our own journeys, and with the community in which we live or feel connected to.
Join Jessica this winter for an opportunity to reconnect on so many levels: to explore and improve your awareness; your day-to-day posture and mobility, strength, coordination and focus; and hopefully, your sense of belonging – both in your own body and in the wider world. February sessions will focus on discovering your current baseline, affirming foundations, and negotiating transitions with ease and grace. The practise can be adapted for any injuries. All levels are welcome!

Whether you just need a break from your sourdough ritual or you’re a newbie to bread baking, this is a great recipe to have on hand. Leave with the dough to make your own full loaf of bread (or buns) – this just needs to be done within a week of the class.
During the class, you will prepare your own dough to take home and as a group we will prepare a loaf, some buns and bake them during the class so you have all the steps – start to finish.
